His business is to bake and sell cakes, pastries, croissants etc. He was trained by us in 2012. He has a small home where he and his wife and 2 children live. The downstairs room doubled as the bedroom and kitchen and that is where we sat and watched him preparing and baking several batches of mini-loaf cakes. While we were there he baked two batches and loaded two more to cook. He has built an outside oven onto the house and bakes there. In terms of what he learnt through the business training – after the training while he was running the business he did not keep detailed records of sales and cost. Then he and his wife could not understand what was happening to their money. They remembered how we drum good record-keeping during the training. He went back to that and now they run a more efficient business following all their budgets and profits.
