She is a widow with a number of dependants. Being widowed made her feel rejected by the community because she was suddenly so dependant. She did not know how to run a business and came on the business training in 2014. She has banana trees on her property so now she sells bananas, makes and sells banana cakes, sells snacks and coffee/tea to pedestrians walking past her property. She collects rain water from her roof and sells the water (there is limited tap water in Ambovombe). She is also breeding goats, pigs and ducks for business. She has taught her children about running a business and they help her. Her testimony is that running her own business and providing for her family has restored her dignity in the community.
